Grant McCann was satisfied with a point as Hull City played out a 1-1 draw with Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.
Reece Burke gave the Tigers a 13th-minute lead but Aiden McGeady equalised eight minutes later.
“It’s a good point away from home,” said McCann.
“It’s been a disruptive two weeks for us in terms of players we haven’t had available, the Covid situation, and trying to get them back up to speed.
“I thought tonight our defensive shape and organisation were excellent.
“We limited Sunderland to one lapse of concentration from us in the first half.
