Marco Silva hopes point at Southampton will give Hull courage

Hull City manager Marco Silva said he hoped a first away point in nearly three months would give Hull the "courage" to win their Premier League survival fight.

Eldin Jakupovic's late penalty save at Southampton consigned Sunderland to relegation and gave Hull a 0-0 draw that boosted their chances.

Jakupovic palmed away Dusan Tadic's spot-kick and Silva, who has guided Hull to 21 points from his 15 Premier League matches in charge, said: "This is bound to boost our confidence and help our courage with how we play.

"It's true that one challenge we have is to improve our away form.
