Manchester City 3-1 Hull City: Simple win for Pep Guardiola's side as an own goal sets them on their way for three points before Sergio Aguero and Fabian Delph get on the scoresheet

Manchester City picked up a routine three points in the sunshine as they successfully tamed the tigers of Hull City at the Etihad Stadium.

Hull offered solid resistance in the opening half an hour, but this was punctured by a dreadful error by right back Ahmed El Mohamady, who sliced Jesus Navas's cross into his own net.

City made the game safe in the second half, with Sergio Aguero slamming in from six yards and Fabian Delph polishing off a counter attack, both set up by Raheem Sterling. Andrea Ranocchia scored a consolation late on, blasting past Claudio Bravo.
