Magennis trying to set an example

Josh Magennis is trying to set an example as the most senior player in the Hull City ranks.

The 30-year-old has scored five goals in 12 appearances for the Tigers this season, including a well-taken brace in the 3-1 win at MK Dons.

The Northern Ireland international has been asked to perform a slightly different role by Head Coach Grant McGrant and use his vast experience to help his younger teammates.

And after a challenging campaign collectively and individually in 2019/20, the powerful frontman has been taking every piece of advice on board.

“Last season was up and down with suspensions and injuries and how the tide turned in the second half of the season,” Magennis admitted.
