Josh Magennis was thrilled to see Hull City’s work on the training ground pay off in the 3-1 win at MK Dons.
The Northern Ireland international scored twice in the first 12 minutes at Stadium MK – the first a right-footed volley from Josh Emmanuel’s first-time cross.
Opposite full-back Callum Elder sent in a low centre for Magennis to power in his second, moments after Stephen Walker had drawn the Dons level.
Substitute James Scott secured the win 14 minutes from time with a close-range header after Tom Eaves had nodded George Honeyman’s corner back across goal.
