Lewie Coyle has admitted that it is hard to put into words just how it feels to have won promotion with his hometown club.
Coyle has skippered Hull City in recent months in the absence of the injured Richie Smallwood and was the man wearing the armband when promotion from Sky Bet League One was secured with a 2-1 win at Lincoln City on Saturday afternoon.
“It’s an unbelievable feeling and so hard to put into words,” said Coyle.
“Being from Hull myself – to be honest, even if I wasn’t, it’s just such a special achievement but that feeling at the moment the whistle goes is something that you just can’t describe.
