Hull's Moses Odubajo on the freak fall which left him with a broken kneecap as he closed in on full fitness: 'I was distraught... words can't describe it'

There's bad luck, then there's Moses Odubajo's luck.

The defender was gearing up for Hull's return to the Premier League when he went into a challenge and emerged with serious knee ligament damage just two minutes into a pre-season game with Grimsby.

It was a cruel blow which would keep Odubajo on the sidelines for around three months. Unfortunately, worse was to follow.

Just as the 23-year-old was stepping up his recovery, he slipped while swinging in a cross in training and fractured his kneecap in the same leg.
