Hull manager Leonid Slutsky is desperate to keep hold of Sam Clucas with Premier League Burnley having a second bid rejected for the midfielder.
Clucas played in Hull's 3-2 Sky Bet Championship defeat by Wolves at the KCOM Stadium just hours after the Tigers rebuffed a second offer from Sean Dyche.
Slutsky has seen a large turnover of players at Hull and is keen for no more departures before the transfer window closes.
He said: 'For me it is very important to keep a player like Sam Clucas because he is a leader.
