Hull City are signing Andrea Ranocchia on loan from Inter Milan.
The 28-year-old Italian international central defender is due to arrive for his medical on Tuesday morning, as the Premier League struggler look to complete a deal before the transfer window closes.
Ranocchia has played just nine times for Inter this season and has fallen out of favour with new manager Stefano Pioli, with his last appearances coming on December 8 in the Europa League.
His time at Inter has been the most impressive of his career, with his 150 appearances helping him win 21 Italy caps, after starting his career with Arezzo and then Genoa.
