Hull City Under-23s recorded a comfortable 2-0 victory over Sheffield United Under-23s at the KCOM Stadium on Monday evening.
Fresh from making their senior debuts last Tuesday in the EFL Trophy against Leicester City, Jordan Hickey, Jacob Greaves, Callum Jones and Billy Chadwick were amongst Andy Dawson’s starting XI.
The Tigers looked in a threatening mood early on as Matty Jacob scorched down the right wing before searching for Martin Samuelsen in the middle, but the Norwegian was only able to direct his shot over the bar under pressure.
After absorbing a wave of pressure from the visitors thanks to interventions from Jacob Greaves and Jake Leake, the Tigers set about opening the scoring.
