Hull City U23s secured all three points at the KCOM Stadium after a 1-0 victory over Charlton Athletic.
James Scott’s strike in the 85th minute sealed a well-deserved victory for the Tigers, despite going down to ten men after Dan Batty’s second bookable offence.
Cliff Byrne took charge of the team in this fixture and changed the entire starting eleven to the team that were defeated 2-0 away at Cardiff City last time out. A majority of players from Grant McCann’s first-team squad were given starts, with a handful of U23 regulars also featuring.
