Hull City have been drawn at home to League One side Wigan Athletic in the first round of the Carabao Cup.
The tie is scheduled to be played in the week commencing August 9th, although clubs are able to mutually agree an alternative date between July 31st and August 4th.
The two sides last met on the penultimate weekend of the 2020/21 season when the Tigers won 3-1 to claim the League One title, while their last meeting in the League Cup competition came in 2007 when Phil Brown’s Hull City side won 1-0 at the DW Stadium courtesy of Stuart Elliott’s final goal in a black and amber shirt.
