Hull City are set to announce former Russia and CSKA Moscow boss Leonid Slutsky as their new manager, according to reports.
The 46-year-old will replace Marco Silva who left following the Tigers’ relegation to take charge of Watford.
Slutsky was in charge of the Russian national team from October 2015 to June 2016 but left following Euro 2016 as the side finished bottom of Group B – the group that included England and Wales.
Despite a 3-0 defeat to Chris Coleman’s Welsh team spelling the end of his time in charge of the international team Slutsky enjoyed success at CSKA – winning the Russian Premier League three times since he was appointed in 2009.
