Hull City have made an official bid for FC Sion striker Moussa Konate, sources close to the player have told ESPN FC.
Konate, 23, has been a target for a number of Premier League clubs over the last few years after impressing for club and country.
The Senegal international scored 22 goals in 33 games for Sion last season in all competitions and has netted seven times in 16 appearances for his nation.
Konate joined Sion from Kuban Krasnodar two years ago and is considered one of the most promising young strikers in Europe.
Hull are desperate to bolster their squad before the close of the transfer window, having had only just 13 fit senior players available for last weekend's opening Premier League win over champions Leicester City.
