They say good things come to those who wait — and that's exactly what's happened to Hull City defender Alex Bruce.
Bruce, the son of Aston Villa manager and former Manchester United captain Steve, has been rewarded for a kind deed he did more than two months ago.
When the 32-year-old came across a stranded motorist, called Mr Twining, at a service station in October, he came to his rescue when others wouldn't.


And to show his appreciation, the driver sent the Northern Ireland international a letter thanking him with £5 to 'buy himself a drink'.
