Hull City FC has announced it will install "safe standing" areas at the MKM Stadium ahead of the 2025/26 season.

The club said it would convert almost 2,700 seats in the home and away ends.

It said the decision had been taken following consultation with the Sports Ground Safety Authority and the club's safety advisory group.

Work will begin after the final home game of the season on 26 April against Derby County.

Premier League and Championship clubs have been allowed to introduce safe standing areas since the start of the 2022/23 season.

The project is being overseen by Ferco Seating, which has carried out similar transformations at Norwich City and Celtic.
