Hull City kicked-off 2021 with a 2-0 victory over Charlton Athletic at the KCOM Stadium.
Hakeeb Adelakun opened the scoring in the first half with a close-range finish before Greg Docherty made the points safe 15 minutes from time as the Tigers returned to winning ways against a Charlton side that had Darren Pratley sent off after the interval.
Grant McCann’s starting eleven showed six changes to the side that started against Portsmouth before Christmas. George Long made his first league appearance of the season as he took over from Matt Ingram in goal, while George Honeyman returned from injury in place of Regan Slater in midfield.
