Hull City and Lincoln City played out a goalless draw on a freezing cold night at the KCOM Stadium.
In a game of very few chances, the closest either side came to winning it came in the opening minute when Keane Lewis-Potter's deflected effort came back off the woodwork.
Grant McCann made three changes to his starting eleven following the weekend defeat at Burton Albion. Matt Ingram came in for George Long in goal, Josh Emmanuel replaced the injured skipper Richie Smallwood and Josh Magennis came in ahead of Mallik Wilks in attack. The changes meant a more advanced attacking role for Emmanuel down the right, with Daniel Crowley the most advanced of a central midfield three.
