Hull City have appointed Nigel Adkins as their new manager, replacing Leonid Slutsky.

Adkins, 52, has signed an 18-month contract at the KCOM Stadium as the Tigers aim to drag themselves away from a relegation fight in the Championship.

Slutsky was sacked last week after a run of seven matches without a win had seen them slide down the standings.
