Huddersfield made the most of their one-man advantage to strike late against Hull and move third in the Championship table on Friday night.
The Terriers only needed a point to leapfrog Luton up into third place, but in the end they took all three at the KC Stadium thanks to Harry Toffolo's 79th-minute winner.
Tom Eaves' sending off on the stroke of half-time proved costly for the hosts, as with just over 10 minutes remaining Toffolo turned the ball home from close range to snatch victory for Huddersfield.
