Grimsby loanee Harry Wood marked his debut with an injury-time equaliser in an astonishing 5-5 draw against Notts County in League Two.
The 21-year-old midfielder, on loan from Hull, was thrown on in the 94th minute after David McGoldrick had put County 5-4 up with his second of the game.
And seconds later Wood was the hero, scoring with his first touch.
‘That was a basketball game on a football pitch,’ said a breathless Grimsby boss David Artell.
In League One, Portsmouth were branded ‘awful’ by manager John Mousinho after the leaders were thumped 3-0 at home by Leyton Orient.
