Callum Elder’s first Hull City goal may have been 72 games in the making but it was certainly worth the wait.
The Australian left-back broke his Tigers duck in stunning style against Northampton Town with a first-time, left-footed curler from the edge of the box that arced beautifully into the top corner.
The goal set Hull City on their way to a resounding 3-0 win, with Keane Lewis-Potter scoring the second and Elder providing the assist for Gavin Whyte to add a stoppage-time third.
And the 26-year-old – who topped the player ratings – was understandably thrilled with a good day’s work.
