With the season over and relegation confirmed, Hull City have begun their preparations for life in the Championship by having a good old fashioned clear-out of their squad.
The Tigers issued their retained and released lists on Wednesday morning, with long-serving central defender Alex Bruce the highest profile name on the latter.

Sadly, it would appear nobody at the KCOM Stadium saw fit to inform Bruce beforehand, with the 32-year-old seemingly forced to learn of his fate after stumbling across it on Twitter.
