Former Hull City defender Alex Bruce is training with Sheffield United.
The 32-year-old, who was pictured on a recent sunshine break playing golf with his father, Aston Villa boss Steve and prospective Villa signing John Terry, was released by Hull at the end of the season.
The English centre back joined the Tigers back in 2012, playing 104 games for them in total.
Bruce, who helped Hull earn promotion to the Premier League in 2013 and 2016 as well as guiding them to the FA Cup final in 2014, spent the back end of last campaign on loan at Wigan.
