Hakeeb Adelakun marked his home debut by scoring the winning goal as Hull City’s perfect start to the new Sky Bet League One season continued with a 1-0 victory over Plymouth Argyle at the KCOM Stadium.
Adelakun struck in the tenth minute as he volleyed in from a Keane Lewis-Potter cross to make it four wins from four for the Tigers, who also kept a fourth successive league clean sheet on another positive afternoon for Grant McCann’s men.
McCann made just one change to the eleven that started in the win against Northampton Town the previous week with Daniel Batty replacing Alfie Jones in midfield.
