Just when it looked like the Texans might be putting something together - hey, they're 4-3 since they fired Bill O'Brien in October - it came crashing down with a pair of suspensions for positive drug tests.
Texans receiver Will Fuller and cornerback Bradley Roby – the team’s top players at each position – are both done for the season for violating the NFL’s policy against performance-enhancing drugs. According to the Houston Chronicle’s Aaron Wilson, both players were using banned supplements from the same medical professional outside of the team.
It’s hard to say which suspension will hurt the most, because both are at critical positions where the Texans lack depth.
