DeMeco Ryans had a smile across his face for the bulk of C.J. Stroud and Will Anderson Jr.'s introductory press conference on Friday at NRG Stadium. After hearing the Houston Texans head coach talk about the team's first-round picks from the 2023 NFL draft, it's easy to understand why.
Houston selected Stroud, a decorated quarterback out of Ohio State, with the No. 2 overall pick on Thursday. The Texans then traded up from No. 12 to No. 3 to take Anderson, who was a two-time SEC Defensive Player of the Year at Alabama and will play defensive end in Ryans' defense.
