The Houston Texans drafted an offensive tackle in the second round, despite having two under expensive contracts through the 2026 season.
That is what made the second-round pick of Blake Fisher so curious. The former Notre Dame standout is highly thought of, with elite athleticism to pair with his 6-foot-6, 310-pound frame.
He is the type of prospect who should ideally be ready to play early in his career, if not immediately. But in an ideal world for the Texans, Fisher spends at least his first two seasons watching from the sideline, helmet in hand and ready to play if needed.
