That’s how wide receiver Keke Coutee describes the feeling when he realized he would stay in Texas as an NFL player. Coutee, a native of Lufkin, had always been inspired by Dez Bryant, another Lufkin wide receiver with an NFL career that began in Texas.
“Just being able to watch a guy like that all of my years of growing up just really made me realize I wanted to do with my life,” Coutee said via phone on Texans Radio. “Just seeing him go to Dallas and me going to Houston, just shows that guys from Lufkin, we’re really serious about our football.
