Warren Moon wasn't surprised C.J. Stroud sprinted to Offensive Rookie of the Year honors in 2023. The Houston Oilers legend shared a similar sentiment Monday regarding Stroud's "step back" in his second season as the Houston Texans' quarterback.
Moon, a Pro Football Hall of Fame member and the most decorated passer in Houston football history, discussed his relationship with the Texans' current signal caller in conversation with Chron. Moon said he believed Stroud was "the best natural thrower of the football in his [draft] class" in 2023, adding "I knew [Stroud] would be successful if they put the right pieces around him.
