Robert Nelson changed his jersey number to 21 this year, inspired by his favorite NFL player Deion Sanders.
The undrafted cornerback out of Arizona State was No. 32 last year, while another undrafted teammate, A.J. Bouye, wore the No. 21 jersey and finished with a standout season. Nelson now hopes he can do the same, channel his inner Sanders and make a Texans squad that finished first in the NFL last year.
“I haven’t made the team yet, so I’m just focused on being the best and helping the team and making this team," Nelson said Tuesday.
