UCLA linebacker Deon Hollins has been invited to work out for the Texans at their local prospect workout, according to a source not authorized to speak publicly.
Hollins attended Marshall High School in Fort Bend, where he was a Houston Touchdown Club Defensive Player of the Year as a senior.
A former second-team All-Pac-12 selection at linebacker, Hollins is a 6-foot, 236-pounder who's run the 40-yard dash in 4.43 seconds. He was forced into action as a senior along the defensive line and had two sacks and 2 1/2 tackles for losses.
Hollins has an upcoming visit with another NFL team and has received interest and positive feedback from other NFL teams.
