Just because you’re big doesn’t mean you can’t be bullied.
That was the message linebacker Whitney Mercilus conveyed to kids after he surprised students at Yellowstone Academy Tuesday morning during the TORO Takes the BULL Out of Bullying program, presented by National Oilwell Varco.
“They are probably going through it on a daily basis,” Mercilus said. “I just want to relate how I went through it as well, growing up as a kid in Akron, Ohio. Kids need somebody to relate to them in a way with experiences they are experiencing each and every day.
