The FBI returned Tom Brady's stolen Super Bowl jerseys to the New England Patriots on Thursday.
"We know how much this means to the Patriots and football fans everywhere, and we are honored to be able to bring these jerseys back to Foxboro," the Boston Division of the FBI said in a statement.
The jersey Brady wore during Super Bowl XLI at NRG Stadium was stolen out of the Patriots locker room after the game. Later, it was announced that Brady also had his jersey stolen after his Super Bowl XLIX victory over the Seahawks.
Investigators with the Houston Police Department's Major Offenders Division traced the jerseys to Mexico, HPD Chief Art Acevedo said Monday morning, adding that it was recovered with help from the FBI as well as Mexican authorities.
