The legendary moments when Texans coach Bill O'Brien's colorful temper would boil over during his tenure as the New England Patriots' combustible offensive coordinator earned him a funny nickname.
Commonly referred to as "Billy O," by the Patriots' quarterbacks, they also started calling him "Teapot."
As in a temper boiling over into a series of eruptions akin to a human volcano.
The nickname was started by Patriots backup quarterback Brian Hoyer, who was the Texans' starting quarterback last season before being released and then signed by the Chicago Bears. Much to the amusement of Tom Brady, Hoyer would dutifully write down notes about O'Brien's piques of anger and frustration and put them in a teapot.
