Hall of Fame running back and former Willowridge High School star Thurman Thomas says he has trouble controlling his mood swings and gets lost on drives he takes often, all due to the concussions he sustained as a football player.
Thomas, who turns 50 in May, gave his first public comments on concussions Friday when he was the keynote speaker at the District School Board of Niagara's International Concussion Summit.
Thomas said he received an MRI and the doctor told him the frontal lobe of his brain was "similar to someone who has fallen off the top of a house, on to the front of his head, or going through a windshield of a car several times.
