Last night Bob McNair died at the age of 81. Nothing official was released regarding why he died, but the assumption is that it was cancer, and specifically skin cancer since he had been dealing with it on and off for the last twenty years. The other assumption is that the team will pass hands to his son Cal McNair, who is currently the team’s Chief Operating Officer. Some will remember him for his philanthropic endeavors, others will remember him for his comments regarding “inmates running the asylum”, and everyone will remember him for bringing football back to Houston.
