Redzone touchdown percentage is one of those stats that varies year to year. It’s like the others you know and love: turnover differential, one possession record, opponent field goal percentage. Over the last fifteen years the year to year correlation of redzone scoring percentage is .15. Usually the teams who do well in the redzone one year, tend to be worse the following year, and vice versa. Last season the Tennessee Titans dropped from 1st with a redzone touchdown percentage of 72% to 14th with a rate of 54.55%, and the Philadelphia Eagles improved from 24th with a rate of 49.
