HOUSTON -- Defensive end J.J. Watt returned to practice on Friday after missing Wednesday and Thursday's practices with what he and Houston Texans coach Bill O'Brien said was a minor back injury.
Watt, O'Brien said, looked "ready to go" for Sunday's game against Tennessee. He added that offensive linemen Brandon Brooks and Derek Newton also looked ready to go. O'Brien and Watt both said on Wednesday they expected Watt to play.
Brooks missed last week's game with a toe injury. Neither he nor Newton practiced on Wednesday or Thursday, but both returned to practice on Friday.
