Texans wide receiver Sammie Coates suffered a concussion during the second half against the San Francisco 49ers on Saturday night at NRG Stadium.
Claimed off waivers from the Browns for a $705,000 base salary, the Texans obtained an athletic 6-1, 212-pound wide receiver with 28 career receptions for 518 yards and two touchdowns.
Coates started the preseason opener against the Kansas City Chiefs and caught one pass. He had three reception for 32 yards on seven targets against the 49ers before getting hurt.
