Ian Rapoport reports that Texans WR Jaelen Strong has officially been suspended for the first game of the 2017 season for violating the NFL Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse.
Strong was appealing the one-game suspension handed down by the NFL for a 2016 marijuana arrest. However, it appears Strong’s appeal was denied.
Back in February of last year, Strong was arrested for marijuana possession along with Packers CB Damarious Randall. Strong admitted to police that the marijuana was his and agreed to a diversion program in order to avoid criminal charges.
