PHILADELPHIA - Texans veteran wide receiver Demaryius Thomas injured his Achilles and was ruled out for the remainder of the game.
The five-time Pro Bowl selection could just as well have been ruled out for the rest of the season due to the severity of the injury.
Thomas couldn't put any weight on his leg and was carted off the field.
The injury forced the Texans to play rookie wide receiver Vyncint Smith.
Thomas was acquired in a midseason trade from the Denver Broncos.
