The Texans are working out veteran offensive tackle Ulrick John on Friday, according to a league source not authorized to speak publicly.
John was with the New Orleans Saints during the preseason before suffering a high-ankle sprain and received an injury settlement, removing him from injured reserve.
John, 27, is a former Indianapolis Colts seventh round draft pick from Georgia State. He has played in 10 career games with three starts.
The 6-5, 312-pound free agent has also played for the Miami Dolphins, Arizona Cardinals, Green Bay Packers and New England Patriots.
