Texans offensive line coach Mike Devlin conducted a private workout with Villanova offensive tackle Brandon Hitner, according to a league source not authorized to speak publicly.
Hitner is projected as a priority free agent.
Hitner is 6-6, 300 pounds and played in 28 career games, but was limited to seven games last season due to a knee injury.
Hitner played right tackle.
He started every game two seasons ago and won a Colonial Athletic Association Commissioner's academic award.
Hitner participated in the College Gridiron Showcase.
