The Texans are working out and meeting with All-American Missouri defensive tackle Jordan Elliott on Monday, according to a league source not authorized to speak publicly.
Elliott is a former Westside standout. The Missouri City native transferred to Missouri from Texas.
Elliott is one of the best overall defensive line draft prospects and gets high marks as an interior pass rusher, for his positional and scheme versatility and his upper body strength and quickness.
The 6-4, 302-pounder ran the 40-yard dash in 5.02 seconds at the NFL scouting combine and bench pressed 225 pounds 24 times.
