The Texans worked out linebackers Trevor Bates, Andrew Gachkar, Kennan Gilchrist and running back-linebacker Connor Harris, according to league sources not authorized to speak publicly.
Bates is a former Indianapolis Colts seventh-round draft pick from Maine who played for the New England Patriots last season.
Gachkar is a former San Diego Chargers seventh-round pick who's also played for the Dallas Cowboys and Jacksonville Jaguars. He has 144 career tackles and two sacks.
Harris played collegiately at Lindenwood, where he played linebacker, running back and punter. He was an All-American with 633 career tackles. He was previously with the New York Jets.
