The Texans worked out former Atlanta Falcons and Kansas City Chiefs defensive lineman Tyson Jackson on Tuesday, according to league sources not authorized to speak publicly.
Jackson is a former third overall pick of the draft by Kansas City out of LSU.
He was cut by the Falcons after not recording a sack in two seasons with them on the heels of signing a five-year, $25 million contract.
For his career, Jackson, 31, has 267 tackles and nine sacks.
At 6-4, 296 pounds, Jackson is a 3-4 style defensive end.
The Texans also worked out former Chicago Bears and Oakland Raiders outside linebacker Lamarr Houston and former Buffalo Bills cornerback Marcus Sayles.
