The Texans worked out former Baltimore Ravens running back Kenneth Dixon, according to a league source not authorized to speak publicly.
DIxon wasn't immediately signed to a contract, though.
The Texans also worked out running back Marcus Murphy, wide receivers Victor Bolden and Tommylee Lewis and punter Cameron Nizialek.
Dixon is a former Ravens fourth-round draft pick who rushed for 4,483 yards and 72 touchdowns at Louisiana Tech.
In the NFL, he has struggled with injuries and off-field issues.
After rushing for 382 yards and two touchdowns as a rookie in 2016, he was suspended for violating the NFL performance-enhancing drug policy in 2017 before tearing his meniscus in his left knee.
