JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- There are always specific plays you can point to in any game that, in retrospect, end up to be a turning point. That was the case with a long third down in Houston’s 24-21 victory over Jacksonville at EverBank Field on Sunday.
With the Texans facing third-and-16 from their own 19-yard line early in the fourth quarter, they called an inside handoff to little-used running back Akeem Hunt hoping to get some more breathing room for punter Shane Lechler. Hunt, who had no carries this season before Sunday, ran around left end for 17 yards to convert the first down.
