Every year, several undrafted rookie free agents snag the last couple spots on NFL rosters. It is a cost effective way to add young talent and push veterans to keep improving. Last year, linebacker Dylan Cole rose from the undrafted rookie free agent ranks to be a key contributor on the Texans’ defense until his season-ending injury. The Texans this year signed 13 UFA and a handful of try out players to fill in the holes the draft and free agency could not. This year, offensive line is the main pool of talent the Texans looked to tap into for the 90 man roster.
